Here We Go!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Jasey and I currently work at home. I started working at home about 5 years ago and over the years I have gained a lot of knowledge from books and online sources about working at home. But, it wasn't easy, it took a lot of time and effort to be able to make any money at all.

I decided to create this blog to help others find good information about working at home. Without good information, you will never succeed. So I decided that I will help by providing some reviews on work at home products that I have personally tried and tested out myself.

Please enjoy!

I Got Scammed So You Don't Have To!: How to Find Legitimate Work at Home and Random Jobs in a Scamming Economy

This book really is four in one, and part of me wishes that the author took the time to write and expand on all sections, but on the other hand, I'm glad it's all put together in one tidy package.

Since I'm more into entrepreneurship, this book was recommended to me to help me develop different income sources for my business. The first part of the book was mostly technical tips regarding scammers and Internet information. The fourth part really helped me see beyond my one method of earning money through the business and gave me some good tips into branching out. By far, it was the most useful part of the book for me personally. The middle sections gave real companies and ideas on how I could expand my current offerings through affiliate marketing, selling print-on-demand chachkies, chat-lines for customer support (or charging for consulting) and more. For anyone looking at work at home jobs or just ways to make extra money, sections 2 and 3 are definitely for you. The author gives a LOT of companies to work for, either as an employee or independent contractor.

Overall, this book is extremely useful for the work at home professional or entrepreneur.

Jobs Online: Find and Get Hired to a Work-At-Home Job

The author has produced one of the most valuable resources to help you with searching for an online job. The most important thing about her publication is that she gives you the legitimate companies and positions to apply for.

Most resources you buy will not help you find legitimate jobs but they certainly take your money....not Leslie Truex. This author's information is as genuine as she is. This book gives you detailed information at how to avoid work at home scams, improve your current resume and then she offers you the top job search websites.

The book is a necessity if you want to avoid wasting time looking on the Internet at scams and spend your valuable time on resources that will enable you to find the online job you wish for.

25 Ways to Make Money Online: Your Complete Guide to Legitimate Online Jobs and Opportunities That Allow You to Work From Home And Earn A Paycheck

I purchased this book along with some others on the buy 4 get 1 free promotion - I wasn't expecting a whole lot from the amount of pages in the book as well as some of the reviews - but I was pleasantly surprised! Granted - this is not a "make you Rich Overnight" book - but it IS chocked full of useful ideas and web-site addresses that can really help those that want to make a living from home weed out the good places to start!

There are a LOT of SCAM websites on the internet and it is easy for a person just getting started to get sucked into them. The author of this book has listed "REAL PAYING SITES" and gives you plenty of options depending on what you want to do as your work at home job.

I think it was money well spent. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because some of the website links didn't work - but that isn't really the authors fault - as websites come and go.

If you have no idea what you want to do and where to look for REAL paying jobs on the internet - then this book is for you.

The Work-at-Home Success Bible: A Complete Guide for Women: Start Your Own Business; Balance Work and Home Life; Develop Telecommuting Strategies

I picked up the The Work-at-Home Success Bible by Leslie Truex because one of the things that has been rolling around in my brain is how to take one (or more than one) of the Jack of All Trades things that I do and turn it into a salable commodity.

There are four parts to the book:

1. Living and Working at Home
2. Telecommuting
3. Home Business
4. The Business of Running a Business

An Appendix of helps is also included.

This too was a very readable book. The living and working at home wasn't especially helpful to me since I've got that experience in my past - those were short term assignments though, so if I decide to try to make a go at this, I may well have to revisit that section. She also includes forms (and links) to help anyone make this decision with enough information.

In the Telecommuting section, Leslie gives advice on how to find and apply for telecommuting jobs. Again, you have to have an idea of what you are good at. She also stresses that it's much easier to change a current job into a telecommuting job than it is to go out and find one.

In the Home Business section, Leslie talks about the variety of upstarts - including starting from scratch and lists quite a few business that any woman may have in her arsenal. This is the section I spent more time in weighing the options. Not done with that yet.

The last section gives advice on legalities, marketing, communication, etc. All the stuff to make the business tick after making the decision to start it.

She also lists her web site (Work-at-Home Success) multiple times, and says she has forms to use there, but I haven't looked closely enough to find them yet.

I would definitely suggest you pick this one up and absorb all of the knowledge it has to offer! You can find it on Amazon for a very resonable price.
